WPanorama updated to 9.4.2 Build 1382 – An image viewer, specially designed to visualize panorama pictures

wpanorama_1WPanorama allows to display panoramic pictures by making them scroll horizontally or vertically on the screen. This application enables you to view panorama pictures.
Even if you plan to use only the screen saver, it is best to keep WPanorama.exe installed since it can be used to fine tune your display and its settings are used by the screen saver. It also gives the possibility to setup a panorama and export the settings to the screen saver.
You can use this software to view the gorgeous 360 swiss panorama included with the program or your own pictures in .jpg or .bmp format.

· 360 continuous scrolling
· Full screen view
· Mini slide show (one sample of it included with the program)
· Back and forth scrolling for non 360 degrees pictures
· Mirror function for special interesting effects
· Vertical scroll in addition to the horizontal one
· Misceallenous stretch filters
· Variable scroll increment and speed
· Automatic or manual scroll orientation setting (horizontal or vertical)
· Screen saver module
· Screen saver able to display a new picture every time it is trigged or at a given time interval
· Possibility to insert scrolling panoramas into movies by the means of multiple bmp files or avi files (new in version 3)

What is new?

· Added un option allowing to tell WPanorama not to load the last displayed panorama at startup (“Config. – Advanced options – Start with no panorama”).
· When WPanorama starts with no panorama, its parameters are set to their default values. In the previous versions, they were set to the same values as on the last time it was run.
· The “Auto scroll off” menu item is now called “Scroll auto off”, in order to avoid a misunderstanding of its meaning.
· Replaced the “Swiss landscape.jpg” slideshow included with the program by “SwissLandscape1.jpg” which is larger.

· From version 4.6.1, in some cases, when “Get height from image” or “Get width from image” was enabled in the “Set image dimensions” panel, the window dimensions and/or the scrolling orientation (horizontal/vertical) after restarting WPanorama were wrong if “Config. – Advanced options – Orientation” was set to “Auto”. This has been taken care of in this version.

Paint.Net plugin lets you view and edit Photoshop PSD files

The aptly-named Paint.Net PSD Plugin is one of those pieces of software which pretty much spells it all out right in thepaint-psd-sdv name. It’s a plugin…for Paint.Net…(wait for it)…which lets you open files saved in Photoshop’s PSD format.

Download the zip archive, dump the included PhotoShop.dll file into your Paint.Net FileTypes folder (usually c:\program files\Paint.Net\FileTypes), and you’re ready to rock. Pretty well anything in the PSD for which Paint.Net has an implementation will load just fine. Saving is another story, so you’d best stick to Paint.Net’s native .PDN file when you’re done working.

If you don’t have Photoshop, the plugin is a handy for looking at PSDs your friends might send you to look at. It’s also a nice way to transition yourself to a free alternative if you no longer require Photoshop.
